From Bat Houses to Makers Spaces, the PTA supports many of the educational programs available at Pembroke. We are committed to providing a dimensional experience for the kids, including everything from character education assemblies to funds for classroom needs.
The PTA provides approximately eleventy billion volunteer opportunities per school year. Some jobs are one-time-only, and some reqiure a longer commitment. The result of these volunteer jobs is a closer connection with the school, and you get to see what your kids are up to after you drop them off.
The Fun Run is our major fundraising event of the year. We host the event in the beginning of the year, and the kids collect pledges and then run themselves silly. There are prizes for the most laps, most pledges, getting your pledges in early and so on.
The PTA hosts the annual Pembroke Talent Show of Amazing Incredibleness! Each year, every student is invited to showcase their particular talent. We've had singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, ventriloquists...the sky is the limit!
FIELD TRIPS & SPECIAL EVENTS
The PTA supports the transportation budget for several of field trips and special events at the school. Our kids have spectacular learning opportunities available, and sometimes getting there is half the fun! For them. Not necessarily for the parents on the bus.
LEGISLATIVE AND CURRICULUM UPDATES
One of the best ways to find out more about the curriculum used in the classroom is to attend the monthly meetings. Our fearless leader, Mrs. Crocker, is there to provide insight and information into the issues that matter most to us. Legislative concerns facing education are also a big topic.
